So as of yesterday, my hubby is on short term disability, without the short term disability pay. Since his shoulder surgery in January he has been off of work. He was only supposed to be off of work for a week. Well, that week turned into 5 months of no work and no pay! As the bread winner in the family, this became hard really fast! He has tried to go back to work twice now, and they won't let him return. He is a body shop tech, and they won't take the liability of him getting hurt. (which is understandable) His boss told him before he had the surgery that he could come back as soon as possible and they would put him on light duty status and work. Well, Human Resources of the company decided that wasn't a good idea and now he is without a job for the next 4 months. We wish we would have known that before he had the surgery and we would have waited.
It has been a very frustrating day or two in our house, but we are wondering what new surprises will be in store for us. As they always say, one door closes and another one opens.
Were hoping that other door opens soon! We are currently deciding on going back to school and getting our educations. We were already thinking of doing this, but i think the oppertunity came a lot sooner than expected or planned for that matter.
As you all know, Jack will be here in 2 and a half months. We are without insurance (we lost it with Jared not working), trying to get on government assistance. We hate doing this, but we are also grateful that they have programs for people out there that do need the assistance. We are hoping everything will fall into place soon.
It is crazy how life's little changes happen so sudden, and very unexpectedly. Last week, we had double coverage health insurance and thought Jared was going to return to work. Now it is my very small paychecks supporting our family, and a 30 foot Prowler camper trailer to live in.
I'm just grateful for wonderful family and friends that have been there for us the past little while. I don't know what we would do without them. They have helped buy us food, clothes for me (since we dont have money to buy anything for me being pregnant to fit in) and help us with all the other odd ended things that have come our way. We love you all!

27 weeks!
We haven't had a picture with just the two of us in a while... so this is what we got.
I felt like this day would never come. I can't believe it is here all at the same time. I officially look like I am smuggling a watermelon (as my dad would call it). On the plus side, I can still wear the same pants that I wore pre-pregnancy. Thats a bit of relief. I'm all belly!
Can't wait to meet you little baby Jack!!
Christmas 2009!
So we know this is a little late, but we wanted to add our pictures from Christmas 09. We had a great Christmas with both our families and came home with quite the stash of goods. Jared got the sweatshirt he wanted and the 'ACT for Dummies' book. As he is preparing himself to go back to school to become a Physical Therapist. I got a body pillow that I really wanted and needed! It has been GREAT! I have been able to sleep so much better with my round belly. Jack was also spoiled by his grandparents and got all kinds of goodies and he is not even here yet! He has so much clothes now and a few toys. We love having family that are so excited for him.
Here is some pictures with the Dilworth side of the Fam. We were unable to get any pictures with the Rackham's. We did have a great dinner with all of them and had a fun time opening presents on the 26th of December.
This is our 'Griswold' Christmas tree. Yes, we found it 2 days before Christmas and put it up at the last minute. It was Shopko's $10.00, take home from the lot. What a steal! Right? The boys had fun picking it out, while the girls stayed at home. They thought they were pretty funny bringing that home. We all had a good laugh!
